Welcome to MaiBoutique.com.   I hope you will enjoy browsing our store and find something that will appeal to your good taste and sensibility.  I have personally selected each item from my many visits to Vietnam.   They were all lovingly handmade by local Artisans using only the highest quality materials.

These women spend long hours making sure each stitch, each button, each loop of yarn, and hand cut leather is where it should be.  There are no fancy machinery nor computers to ease their work load and speed up production.  Each item is “heartmade” and one of a kind for you to enjoy.

Our mission at MaiBoutique.com is simple – we not only want you to look good on the outside but to also  feel good on the inside, which is why we donate a portion of our profit to the makers of these beautiful accessories, plus another 10% to various children charities throughout Vietnam.

The idea for MaiBoutique, the store, started with my desire to show case beautiful handmade treasures from Vietnam, but the creation of MaiBoutique.com, the business, was born out of the need to give back and help the people of my homeland.

I was born in Saigon. My family fled Vietnam when I was a teenager to escape the war.  I have spent the past 30 years building my version of the “American Dream” producing a successful career and two incredible children.   It wasn’t until seven years ago, I re-discovered the country of my birth, as a tourist.

Being back after so long was overwhelming and exciting.  I was especially amazed by the abundance of unique and beautiful items skillfully crafted by hand throughout the region.  In my quest to find the best quality original gifts to bring home, I met some incredible people along the way.  On my more recent visits – I had the privilege of meeting some amazing children in several orphanages.   To say they’re inspiring barely scratch the surface of the impact they had on me, especially as a mom.    Their smiling faces masked the harsh realities of their everyday lives.   The seed for MaiBoutique.com was planted during these visits.

I realize you  can purchase handbags and jewelry anywhere and everywhere;  I can only hope you will fall in love with something special in my store, and knowing a portion of your hard earned dollars will go towards a greater good will make  a difference to you.  Our products will help you look good on the outside and feel good on the inside.
